About To Break

With a flurry of new activity in my life the past few weeks, my mind has been overwhelmed with thoughts. From thoughts fueled by academic study and discussion, to others brought on by simple reminiscing, I've had no shortage of topics to ponder lately.

That being said, I won't go into any further detail until I can decipher everything that is running rampant through my brain. If I can't read my own brain's code, how can I even possibly begin to decipher it in a coherent manner for you to consume?

As always, I'll just leave you with a song. This track is called "About To Break" and it's off of Third Eye Blind's latest album Ursa Major.

I was walking alone on the ocean
I felt a fever burning up all I am
'Cause if there's one thing that I can't stand
It's standing next to my fellow man
It's about to break
For the social worker at the needle exchange
For the soft medicated and the hard deranged
For the lesbians at the bakery
Saying, "do you really hate me?"

It's about to break

Break like a fever
It's about to break
Break like a fever

People looking for themselves inside of mirrors
While not knowing why you're here
A public appearances is the verge of tears
When you're all played up on weed and beer

Stand up, let me get a look at you
Can we all take a part of you?
Stand up, let me get a look at you
Can we all take a part of you?

Maybe an evangelist with a stinger missile
Weapons hot, thinking this will
We won't make them follow orders
We're doctors without borders

About to break
It's about to break
Break like a fever

When I see your face, I wanna be in the human race
You're beautiful, it's true, I wanna be beautiful like you
When I see your face, I wanna be in the human race
You're beautiful, it's true, I wanna be beautiful like you
For the teenage mother with the baby asleep
For apricot when life is cheap
For losing faith in who you're goin' with
America fades into myth
